Bloomberg – The Generation With $143B to Spend
Generation Z is set to be one of the most influential and unique generations the world has seen. They’re set to enter the workforce with a breadth of creative and digital skills, also with a lot of consumer spending power. Gen Z workers are projected to grow to 51 million by 2030, making up almost a third of the workforce and their after-tax income will reach $2 trillion, a study by analytics firm Oxford Economics found. Given this, they’re incredibly influential to corporations. In this series, we’ll tackle all things related to this generation, starting off with what companies and brands need to better understand about Gen Z. In this inaugural episode, Quicktake’s Jennifer Zabasajja talks to Lynne Gillis of IRI Survey and Segmentation Practice and Nikita Seth, a Gen Z-er and Boeing engineer.
