Early Warning Signs and Rapid Response
Several medical studies have revealed early warning signs that help identify patients whose conditions are deteriorating, from minutes to hours before a severe adverse event occurs. In many cases, there’s enough time to identify patients who are at risk for an adverse event and to intervene. The key to an optimal outcome is recognition of early warning signs followed by an appropriate and timely response.
Covered in this course:
- The early warning signs of a change in a patient’s condition.
- How to respond to a deteriorating patient.
